Wondering what to wear on those muddy spring days?
Dan and I went for a short hike (ok, most definitely it was a walk ;)) at Evergreen Brickworks the other day and I was totally channeling my inner English countryside girl with this outfit. England does rainy season so well! What’s the ‘recipe’ for perfecting that rainy day look you may ask? Quality denim, a button up top, a waxed jacket, and of course, topped off with a pair of rubber boots!
These Cougar rubber boots arrived in the mail just in time for the wet season to start. Growing up in the country, rubber boots were such a spring staple. I still have a pair by the front door at my parents’ house for when I walk across to our barn or take the dogs for a walk (that pair is now upgraded, thank goodness!). I chose this Cougar pair because they are a step up from your everyday rubber boot with the striped detailing, the shiny rubber, and a small heel. Yet, they are still durable and super comfortable. I picked up this thin jacket from Anthropologie a few weeks ago and it felt perfect for the occasion as well. The weather has since snapped back to cold but I can’t wait to wear this when spring hits again and I know it will be a summer night staple with denim shorts and cute flowy tops.
What I’m Wearing…
Cougar Terri Rain Boot c/o
Anthropologie Utility Swing Jacket
Anthropologie Edisto Swing Top
J Brand Jeans
